On day 9 was all about getting ready for our presentation for tomorrow and finishing up our keynote. I spent the majority of the time doing my voice overs for my movie of people standing up and waiting inline for lunch. But then I decided to say it in person to our watchers instead of doing voice overs, we all feel confident with our keynote and were basically already finished.

Day 8
This time there was know checking rubbish bins it was about interviewing people from years from year 7 to 12 to see wether they recycle or not. There were a series of questions to be asked. Chris and I were making script which is for the voiceovers for the little 1 minute video I made and Chris and I are planning to get some more data. Day 7
On day 7 christine and megan once again went to other classrooms in the school to find how many plastic bottle were in each plastic recycling bin. As for me and chris we were filming and observing people to see wether they would recycle there plastic or throw it in the bin. It was a fun day well for me anyway apart from Miss.Thorne telling us to get our keynote finished. These are some of the videos I took at lunch to see whether people recycle.
Day 6
Today we got a lot a work done such as megan and Christine went to interview the cleaners and shamrock people. They also went around the school counting how many bottles and plastic were recycled in the school. I also made a keynote which was about the three R’s.
Here is my keynote I made which is about reuse, reduce and recycle. In the keynote you'll find the actual definition of the three R's.
Day 5
Day 5 was extremely tense because we were definitely under pressure. We had very few days to finish all our research. We wrote an email to Mr. Musco. Christine and I went to he library and checked out some books so we could do some research. I also spent some of the time finding could video spots to see whether people were actually recycling. Megan and Aubrey tried interviewing shamrock people but they had to talk to there boss to get all the information we need. Megan and Christine made a survey of how many bottles are recycled in all the classrooms in HKA. http://www.recyclenow.com/why_recycling_matters/why_it_matters/
Next tuesday two leaders from our group Megan and Aubrey who are going to interview Mr. Musco our Middle/High school principal. We have as a group came up a number of questions which is obviously about how we can improve the recycling of plastic in Hong Kong Academy If you look above there is a screen shot of the email we sent.
Day 4
On day four we were mostly transferring questions and notes onto our plan document. We also finished up our gathering info document which we all contributed to, even Chris who never talks but takes good notes though. It took us a lot of staying on task and actually coming up with decent questions, but overall we came up with some really good questions. We then broke up into our A and B groups where each group was working on more ideas and interview questions for Mr.Musco and many other teachers. The jobs were for Megan and Aubrey to Interview many students and teachers to answer certain questions. They also are making surveys and graphs for our staristics. For Christine and me were are taking videos and pictures to see and observe whether students actually recycle or do they just throw it away. It’s going to be a fun week. |
